Dodgers sign Erik Bedard to minor league deal

 Erik+Bedard Tampa+Bay Rays

The Los Angeles Dodgers keep stockpiling pitching for 2015. A team can never have enough pitching as pitchers have the tendency to become injured throughout the season. The Dodgers have inked lefty Erik Bedard to a minor league deal. The news was tweeted out by MLB.com’s Ken Gurnick. Bedard was drafted in the 6th round by the Baltimore Orioles in the 1999 amateur draft. He has played for multiple teams throughout his career with stops in Baltimore, Seattle, Boston, Pittsburgh, Houston, Tampa Bay and now in Los Angeles.

Bedard was released by the Tampa Bay Rays on August 3rd, 2014. He pitched 75 1/3 innings last year for Tampa Bay before he was released. In his total career he has compiled 71 wins, with 82 losses, along with a career average ERA of 3.99.
