Dodgers sign two relievers, David Huff and Ryan Butcher, to minor league deals

It is no secret that the Dodgers have been adding pitchers throughout the off-season. The Dodgers agreed to terms with relievers David Huff and Ryan Butcher. David Huff is a southern California native. He was born in Huntington Beach and attended college with stops at Cypress College, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and University of California Irvine (UCI). Huff was the 39th pick of the 2006 amateur player draft and was signed by the Cleveland Indians. Huff has played for the Indians, Yankees, and Giants.

Ryan Butcher was drafted in 2005 by the Washington Nationals in the 33rd round. He pitched 1 inning in the 2014 campaign for the Atlanta Braves.

Huff and Butcher were part of the 17 non-roster invitees invited to the major league camp for 2015 spring training. Huff was hit in the head by an Alex Rodriguez line drive in 2010. At the time, Huff was the starting pitcher for the Indians and was unable to bring up his glove to protect himself from the line drive.
