Taylor Hits Walks Off Blast as Dodgers Take Series Against Rox

Yasmani Grandal’s bat drop looked to be it.

Nope.

Max Muncy crushed a line out right to David Dahl.

Damn.

I was really hoping Chase Utley could go out in grand style this season, but it wasn’t meant to be. This time.

Strike out.

Manny Machado’s near miss earlier in the game was almost there and would have been the difference.

Just missed it.

But Chris Taylor? Yeah – we’ll take that.

After 10 innings of tight and somewhat dirty baseball (a total of 4 errors committed between L.A. and Colorado, which doesn’t include a handful of iffy plays that didn’t buy a vowel) the Dodgers got the clutch stroke they needed to take the series and maintain first place for more than 24 hours. Taylor’s walk-off in the 10th gave the Dodgers the 3-2 victory and they now sit in first place by 1.5 games.

It seems every series has been “the one” for the last couple of weeks, and the Dodgers have (finally?) been playing like they want it.

So hey, let’s bust out the brooms tonight and put Colorado away for the season!

Game time tonight is 7:10 pm, PST, as Walker Buehler takes the mound for Los Angeles.
