Tomorrow is Opening Day!

It will be my sixth straight year attending the big day. I will be sitting in the left field pavilion with the sun shining down on me, my dodger dog in one hand and my drink in the other. It’s the time of the year I wait six grueling months for. There is absolutely nothing I love more. Before the beginning of every season I always make sure to buy a new hat, hoping that somehow it will be the one that I will be wearing when the Dodgers win the World Series. I hope this is the year it actually happens. I want to watch my beloved team finally conquer the NLCS and reach the World Series. I was sitting at the ballpark when Kershaw suffered the devastating loss to the Cardinals last year. I was in disbelief, but I’m sure anyone that bleeds Dodger blue was. That defeat was one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced, but there is no point in staying fixated on that. Tomorrow is a new day, a new season. I’m excited to watch Kershaw begin what should be another marvelous year, to watch Joc Pederson make a name for himself, but most importantly to watch the new “chemistry refined” team come together to bring the World Series to Los Angeles. The atmosphere is sure to be electric! I’m getting chills just thinking about it. I can’t wait to hear the magical Vin Scully’s words echoing through the stadium speakers as he shouts, “It’s time for Dodger baseball.”
