First-Place Dodgers Continue To Be Top Draw In Ticket Sales

The Los Angeles Dodgers have lived up to expectations through the first two months of the 2015 MLB season and could use the month of June to distance themselves from the San Francisco Giants. The defending champs have stormed back and have proven to be pesky, as just two games separate the two teams, with the Dodgers narrowly holding onto first-place in the NL West.

Los Angeles may have to hold off the Giants down the stretch to secure a playoff spot, but they seem more than up to the task thanks to a strong offense (244 runs) and a loaded pitching staff. Rumor has it the Dodgers could be interested in landing one more arm via trade, and if they do it could potentially further ensure they are the team to beat out of the National League.

We have to take it slow, though, as there is a ton of life left in the 2015 MLB season and it’s only now dipping into the summer months. Regardless of what happens, one thing we know for sure is that Dodgers fans are getting plenty of bang for their buck. To get a better idea as to where the Dodgers are headed and just how much value resides with Dodgers tickets, let’s break down their cheapest and most expensive games on the schedule with information provided by SeatSmart.com.

Cheapest – 6/8/2015 VS. Arizona Diamondbacks | Avg: $19 | Get-in: $2

L.A.’s cheapest game of June is beyond a bargain, as the Arizona Diamondbacks are a hated NL West rival and also pack quite a punch offensively. The D-backs haven’t given the Dodgers a whole lot of trouble this year thus far (Dodgers lead season series, 4-2), but the two teams have been an exciting watch (43 combined runs). Paul Goldschmidt is a possible MVP candidate and an elite bat to fear, while Arizona also boasts A.J. Pollack and Yasmany Tomas. Unfortunately, their pitching hasn’t been as successful in the early going, so L.A.’s top shelf offense should be able to let loose.

All things considered, fans from either side are getting an insane deal at just $19 on average. Better yet, this one is at home in Dodger Stadium, so it should be extra appealing to Dodgers fans. This is by far the best deal for Dodgers tickets in June and might be up there for their best ticket deals of the year, given the rivalry between the two clubs.

Most Expensive – 6/27/2015 @ Miami Marlins | Avg: $124.68 | Get-in: $24

Dodgers tickets see a spike late in June, when they head to Miami to battle the Marlins at Marlins Ballpark on the 27th. Miami is not a tough opponent on paper at all, but they do have one of the game’s biggest superstars in Giancarlo Stanton. With the way Dee Gordon is playing, you have to include him, too, and he’ll be getting his first licks against his old team. The pitching has mostly disappointed, though, which is why they find themselves in the position that they’re currently mired in. By all accounts, this late June battle is a likely win for the Dodgers, but sees a solid bump in price up from L.A.’s season average ($94.76).
