Will Machado Be in Blue?

As the non-waiver trade deadline approaches, rumors (some with a little more clout behind them than others) are running rampant with regard to where Manny Machado is going to end up. Many signs point to him donning Dodger blue:

USA Today’s Bob Nightengale posted up just 24 hours ago that a trade with the O’s was imminent, “barring a last-minute snag.”

Ken Rosenthal tweeted Wednesday night that “Machado to #Dodgers happening,” although during Rosenthal’s dugout interview with Machado during the ASG, he remained non-committal, if not coy when the question of being traded to L.A. was posed.

And although this is reading a bit too far into things (this is the Rumors section!), Matt Kemp was taking numerous selfies with Machado during the All Star game Wednesday, but dodged questions regarding Machado coming to L.A. during his live mic session during the game.

The trade situation is obviously hot and in flux… stay tuned.

The Dodgers finished the 1st half of the 2018 season in 1st place, taking two of three from the Angels in the final game of a three-game series in Los Angeles Sunday.

Well, it’s official. After some last-minute (rumored) uncertainty around the physical of one of the Dodger’s trade pieces, the deal of the season finally went through.

Welcome to L.A., Manny!
